Cabin Rental Review

July 20 2015
This is our 7th year coming to N GA for a summer vacation. Every time we rent a different cabin. As usual, part of the adventure is finding our short-term home in the woods. This cabin is appealing because it is halfway between our two favorite activities...rafting the Ocoee and tubing the Toccoa. First off, one year our cabin was up such a steep hill that it took 3 tries before I finally got enough speed to get up to the cabin. This cabin is definitely in the woods but the drive is easy. No fear of spinning out or getting stuck in any vehicle. Once we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the classy decor. It is chic rustic. Not your typical orange overload feeling that most of the other cabins evoke. It appears to be built from reclaimed barn wood and stone. Bathrooms are all stone with metal sinks. There aren't hand-me-down, mismatched "hunting cabin" moth ball smelling bed spreads and sheets. It looks like the owners hired a designer to pick out furnishings. This is hands-down the most gorgeous cabin I have ever stayed in (including the one I paid $700 a night for.) The kitchenware is in perfect condition and they have everything you need to make a good meal. I love the gas stove! No 12X12 contractor grade ceramic tile in the bathrooms. You have REAL stone in baths and countertops. There is everything here that you need for a good trip to the mountains. You have 2 fireplaces, fire pit, hot tub, pool table, grill, outdoor table and chairs, balconies off the bedrooms and plenty of space to spread out. This will be the only cabin we will stay in twice. I hope it is available next year in July.
