State Parks
The North Georgia Mountains holds some of the most unique, charming, and gorgeous parks in the State of Georgia.  All within a short hour of Blue Ridge, you can enjoy cascading waterfalls, pristine mountain lakes, paddle boats, hiking trails, swimming, fishing, and much more.  Amicalola State Park is one of the favorites in North Georgia!  At this state park, you will find Amicalola Falls, the highest waterfall East of the Mississippi River.  You can observe the Falls from an observation deck or hike to the top!  Vogel State Park has a large beach area on Vogel Lake great for swimming along with paddle boats, hiking trails, a waterfall, and fishing.  Unicoi State Park is also located on a gorgeous mountainous lake and you can rent canoes, fishing gear, kayaks, and  more.  It also offers hiking trails, fishing, and swimming.  North Georgia’s Blue Ridge is the perfect central location to visit all of the beauty the North Georgia state parks has to offer.  See more information below.
