Our Favorite Restaurants You Should Check Out! 🍽️
Hey There! 😊
It’s Tabetha again, and this time I wanted to talk about some of my favorite places to eat in Blue Ridge. I still can’t believe how many fantastic restaurants we have! When I was a kid, our choices were much more limited, and a lot of those places aren’t around anymore. Now, though, we’re lucky to have so many awesome and unique places to eat.I absolutely love food and do love to cook, but dining out is always a treat! I can talk about food for days, but there are a few places that I have to mention:
Cucina Rustica
This is my absolute favorite place for a date night. It’s a really small, authentic Italian restaurant that’s a little off the beaten path, just a few miles outside of town. They have a small menu and are only open four nights a week for dinner, but everything they make is made with love and attention to detail. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, and the service is impeccable, but the food is still the star of the show. You’ll find fresh focaccia (made with a nine-year-old starter), a rustic white loaf, and specially seasoned olives waiting for you at your table to enjoy with a glass of wine while you wait for your meal. You have to make reservations, but it’s very easy to do online.
I usually get the Fettuccine Pomodoro and a Caesar salad, but I also love their seasonal specials. Be sure to check them out!
Harvest on Main
Harvest on Main, in downtown Blue Ridge, is a second favorite of mine for any meal, especially lunch. The whole menu is delicious, and the place is beautiful, with a great wine selection and a full bar. Dinner reservations are recommended.
Even though the menu changes, I’ve tried a lot of their food. Most recently, I had the Blue Ridge Sampler, the Farm Salad, and the Bang Bang Salmon. I can say for sure that I’ve always loved everything I’ve gotten at Harvest on Main.
Black Sheep
Located in a historic home in downtown Blue Ridge, this restaurant is truly unique. The fact that it used to be a house means there are several small and quaint dining spaces, plus they have year-round outside dining. Reservations are recommended for dinner and brunch.
My favorite time to go to Black Sheep is on Saturday or Sunday for brunch, where you’ll find cinnamon rolls, French-pressed coffee, and so much more. They also have $3 mimosas and $5 Bloody Marys—because what’s brunch without a drink? Their regular menu is full of delicious choices, and I have to say, Black Sheep has the best wedge salad I’ve ever had.

Rum Cake Lady
One of the most unique spots in Blue Ridge and McCaysville is The Rum Cake Lady. Their main restaurant is in McCaysville, right on the Tennessee/Georgia state line, and they have a smaller satellite location just on the edge of downtown Blue Ridge. It’s always very busy, but they’re fast, and it’s totally worth it.
Of course, the rum cakes are amazing, but the food is unforgettable. I really love the Turkey Cuban sandwich and the pork bowl. The fresh-baked bread takes the sandwiches to a whole new level, and the slow-cooked meat just falls apart. If you want to take home a souvenir or a treat for your loved ones, you can pick up a variety of mini rum cakes or even a full-size one!

This is just the first installment of my favorite places to eat! As I mentioned, I could talk about food for days, and there is certainly no shortage of good food in Blue Ridge.
Until next time!
