Our Favorite Waterfalls You Should Check Out! ⛰️

Hey There! 😊

My name is Tabetha Burger, and I’m part of the team at Mountain Top Cabin Rentals in Blue Ridge, Georgia. We are starting a new series of blog posts where I will share my experiences growing up here and recommend places to visit and things to do while there.

I consider it a privilege to have grown up here. Although today’s Blue Ridge is wildly different, so many things never change, making our town so unique.

I think as we get older, we learn to appreciate the simple things in life, and one of the many things that make Blue Ridge so special is the people. You have always heard that “Southerners” are friendly people, and that is certainly true of the warm and welcoming people of Blue Ridge. Many of us were lucky enough to have grown up here, but we are fortunate that so many others have chosen to make Blue Ridge their home or invest in our community by purchasing a second home or a vacation rental.

Fannin County borders Tennessee and North Carolina, so we are located within minutes of both states. The mountains in Fannin County are part of the Appalachian Mountains. These mountains are the oldest in North America, and I know we all wish these mountains could talk! There are many ways to experience the mountains of North Georgia, but one of the best ways is to get out and explore them. Some of the best hiking in the south is in Blue Ridge and the waterfalls are amazing!

When we were kids we would walk about a mile from our house through the woods to get to a creek with a waterfall. We would play in this waterfall for hours! It had been the location of an old mill and the waterfall was perfect for sliding down with a big pool at the bottom!
